At the 8th Kinookus Food Film Festival to be held in Ston on new dates, from 29 June until 2 July, the lectures and presentations on the topic of revitalization of the food heritage of the Republic of Ragusa will be accompanied by some, today rare dishes and desserts.

A Dubrovnik pastry chef Lucija Tomašić and a Dubrovnik chef Damir Šarić will be at the helm of a sailbite that is going to take the Festival guests to a journey of senses through the food culture of the very south of Croatia.

Lucija Tomašić attended Le Cordon Bleu school in London. As soon as she finished the school she started working at a London restaurant Alyn Williams, and when she returned to Croatia in a well-known pastry shop “Mak na Konac” owned by Petral Jelenić, and in a Dubrovnik elite restaurant 360°.

With her expert creativity this young woman from Dubrovnik very soon earned the reputation of an excellent pastry chef, and recently she was invited to create desserts for a new life of a cult restaurant in Dubrovnik Sesame.

Damir Šarić belongs to a new generation of Dubrovnik chefs who, by using local produce, are trying to modernize the local traditional gastronomy. He was obtaining his know-how and experience in the Netherlands and in some most famous restaurants in Dubrovnik like Gil's, Proto and Pantarul. You can experience the culinary philosophy of Damir Šarić in the restaurant Stara loza in the historic centre of Dubrovnik.
